An Adult Singles Vacation Camp
AMUUSE
Croquet is a game of fun for all AMUUSEr ages. Experienced players and beginners are welcome, no mater how uncoordinated you are. Rules and techniques will be reviewed before play begins.
Are you a good bowler? Well, it doesn't matter either way for Bocce Ball. We will play on a regulation-sized grass court. Beginners welcome as rules will be reviewed before play begins.
These 3 senses will be taken on a couple of short journeys learning something about how closely they’re related. We learn some common language for tastes & also look at our own diet preferences.
After working on some common language for tastes, we will share memories of tastes (good and bad). Be prepared to talk about the non-taste elements of the Environment in your memories and consider along with the others in our non—judgmental group what the relationships could be.
Learn the basics of popular poker games and play in a friendly group without loosing your shirt. Terminology, rules, and banter will acquaint players in 1, 3, 5, and 7 card games; with focus on 5 card and 7 card popular games. Learn the common causes for confusion from different games. Also draw vs stud vs swap, wild vs as is, house rules, high vs low pot splits, fast vs slow games, pot builders, common cards... Join the fun, losers put away the chairs.
We will play some lighthearted, simple games to discover some of the basics of Improvised Theater. No previous experience is necessary. You will find “Improv skills” easy to understand and apply as we develop a few short scenes in a fun, “no-pressure” atmosphere.
Before stepping on the dance floor you will need to know what type of dance music is playing! Is it a Cha Cha, Swing, Fox Trot, Waltz, or maybe something else? We will take just a few minutes to “identify the beat” and then review the basic steps of these four dances. Next we will practice some partner dancing, checking out the skills of leading and following. The goal is to learn the basic steps of the more common dances, so that you can feel relaxed, move around easily, look cool and enjoy yourself.! Be sure to bring some comfortable shoes that have soles that allow you to pivot (turn) easily on your weighted foot. Leather works fine, but most sneakers are too ‘sticky’.
We will go out on the lake and enjoy the morning. All equipment is provided-- Kettunen has kayaks, paddle boards and canoes along with paddles and life-jackets..
We will do some of the following--guided meditation, maybe Tarot, vision boards, ritual, some spiritual discussion, Neuro Linguistic Programming exercises, etc. This is a weeklong group
