August 11-17
"High Spirits"
Tower Hill Camp and Retreat Center
Sawyer, MI

Please join us at August Camp this year!
We will celebrate in High Spirits at Tower Hill Camp and Retreat Center in Sawyer, Michigan.

After several years of weekends, and two taste of AMUUSE partial weeks at the lovely Tower Hill Camp and Retreat Center in Sawyer, Michigan, we have finally secured a full week from August 11-17 for the 2019 camp season. Director Dave L. and Associate Director Elise R. have a fun-filled week planned for you.

Some physical activity in the morning? Join Sandy A. for her yoga group.
A more cerebral activity? Rosie R. will be leading a deep topics discussion group.
A mix of physical and mental challenges? You can do improvisational theater with John N.
In the afternoons there will be organized trips off site to the local Sawyer brewery and/or distillery, and to the beautiful lake Michigan beaches. Tower Hill has its own beachfront, and there is also a public beach and several miles of nice trails in the adjacent Warren Dunes State Park. It’s a short walk to the beach, but on at least one afternoon we will try to organize transportation for those who aren’t able to make the trek.

Of course, you are always welcome to spend your afternoons napping, eating too much candy and chocolate, playing games, or just sitting around reading a book or chatting with friends.

Registration will be opened up in the near future

The Kettunen Center was founded in 1952 by the Michigan 4-H Foundation as a 4-H statewide training and youth education center. The center is located on 160 acres of forest, wetlands and rolling hills in Northern Michigan on beautiful Center Lake and provides its guests with beauty, serenity and tranquility in a natural setting. You'll find many opportunities to unwind and explore.

AMUUSE's started enjoying this camp in 2012. The facilities are very nice. Its not really a camp, but we refer to it as a camp at times. It is a very modern conference center, or you might want to call it a retreat center.
